- No — do not feed

- Mango
Why
The pits of cherry, peach, plum and apricot contain cyanogenic glycosides. Chewing breaks them down into hydrogen cyanide. The fruit flesh itself is safe once pitted.
What to watch for
If your parrot has eaten any amount, treat these as urgent:
- labored breathing
- weakness
- seizures
- collapse
What to feed instead
If you were reaching for cherry pits, mango gives you the same job — a treat the bird will actually take — without the risk. Can parrots eat mango?
